Compliance & Governance
At Big Bang ElevAItion, compliance isn’t a checkbox—it’s part of how we build trust, protect communities, and deploy technology responsibly. Our governance framework is designed to meet the expectations of healthcare organizations, nonprofits, funders, and public-sector partners while remaining practical, ethical, and human-centered.
Our Governance Philosophy
We operate with a commitment to transparency, accountability, equity, and responsible innovation. Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and community impact, which means governance is embedded into how we design systems, manage data, and advise clients. We prioritize clear communication, risk awareness, and continuous improvement across all engagements.
Data Privacy & Protection
Big Bang ElevAItion follows strong data privacy practices aligned with applicable laws and industry standards, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and U.S. data protection expectations. We collect only the data necessary for legitimate business purposes, obtain informed consent, and apply safeguards to protect against unauthorized access or misuse. Personal data is never sold or shared for commercial gain.
For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.
Healthcare & HIPAA-Aligned Practices
While Big Bang ElevAItion is not a HIPAA-covered entity, we follow HIPAA-adjacent best practices when working with healthcare organizations or healthcare-related data. This includes minimizing access to sensitive information, supporting secure workflows, and aligning with client compliance requirements. When required, we support Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and confidentiality obligations.
AI Governance & Responsible Technology Use
Artificial intelligence is used as a support tool—not a replacement for human judgment. Our AI governance approach emphasizes human oversight, data minimization, transparency, and ethical use. Client data is never used to train AI models without explicit written consent, and AI outputs are reviewed to reduce bias and unintended harm. We do not deploy AI for surveillance, discriminatory profiling, or unethical automation.
Accessibility & Inclusion
Big Bang ElevAItion is committed to digital accessibility and inclusive design. Our website and digital platforms strive to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. Where third-party tools or integrations limit full accessibility, we acknowledge partial compliance and provide reasonable accommodations or accessible alternatives upon request.
We view accessibility as an ongoing responsibility and continuously work to improve the user experience for all. For more details see our Accessibility Statement.
Internal Controls & Best Practices
Our internal governance practices include informed consent protocols, data minimization standards, staff and contractor privacy awareness, vendor due diligence, and regular reviews of data handling and security practices. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are used for engagements involving confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information, including research and grant development.
Vendor & Third-Party Management
We work with reputable third-party platforms for hosting, forms, automations, analytics, and collaboration. Vendors are selected with attention to security, privacy, and accessibility considerations. Contracts and agreements include confidentiality and data protection expectations where applicable.
Compliance for RFPs, Grants & Partnerships
Big Bang ElevAItion maintains documented policies related to privacy, accessibility, and responsible technology use. These materials are available upon request for RFP submissions, grant applications, audits, or partnership reviews. We regularly support public, nonprofit, and institutional partners that require demonstrated governance and compliance readiness.
Continuous Improvement
Compliance and governance are not static. We regularly review our policies, practices, and tools to adapt to evolving regulations, technologies, and community expectations. Feedback from clients, partners, and users helps inform improvements and accountability.
